Salsomaggiore e Tabiano Terme

Salsomaggiore and Tabiano “Terme” , these  are Italy’s two beautiful and welcoming spa towns, at 166  meters above see level, on the pre Appennini mountain chain, which is one of the famous largest mountain chains in Europe one of the spell bounds of Italy’s charm.

Giuseppe Verdi and the place of Opera

Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi ( 1813 -1901) was an Italian Romantic composer, born in  Roncole near Busseto now part of the province of Parma. Giuseppe Verdi became one of the most influential composers of Italian opera in the 19th century, although went well beyond the work of Bellini, Donizetti and Rossini. His works are frequently performed in opera houses throughout the world and, transcending the boundaries of the genre, some of his themes have long since taken root in popular culture - such as “La donna e’ mobile” from Rigoletto and “Libiamo ne’ lieti calici” from La Traviata.

The passionate green hills are still alive with the composers history and we can admire the musical genius of the Greens. It was in the  Church of Saint Michele Arcangelo that when as a youngster he first played on the organ and learnt his first musical rudimenti. In his early twenties he played at the house of Antonio Barezzi still their to be admired Antonio Barezzi supported Giuseppe Verdis talent in Milan and became then the famous composer to the world now.
